I have a 1999 GXE, the AC/Heater fan is making noises about 50% of the time, especially after hitting a bump in the road. I have to shut it down and then restart it. Is this a replacement issue or do I have to just clean the unit? Anyone taken it to a dealer and if so, what are the costs?

I know that there was a thread on this about 6 months ago, but I couldn't find it. Thanks.

fan motors aren't worth the effort to fix them. they have bushings instead of bearings and once they start making noise, the wear and tear is too great to do anything with it. they are pretty easy to replace, go to local parts place and get one and do it yourself.
