Just keep at it - you have a 12mm univ socket on there right?

Go drink a protein-shake and some spinach quiche and try again! it will break loose eventually.

What i did with ~ 14" of extensions and a universal joint and a shallow 12mm socket was fish the extension in there and seat the socket (have someone hold a flashlight so you can see in there, it's actually pretty easy to get the socket seated like this.)

hold it very still and pivot it as HIGH AS POSSIBLE! That's very important, it seems that it gets just enough angle that the u-joint will work. put the ratcher into the extension if it isnt already and yank on it real fast .. once it's loose it's very easy.

The hard part is getting the bolt back into the new knock sensor... luckily my girlfriends hands are small enough to fit in there and she got it in for me

i set the socket on the bolt with the ratchet attached, while holding the ratchet straight and steady, i used a long flathead screwdriver to pry between the ratchet and a thin metal bracket that was right in the perfect spot near the end of the ratchet(leverage is power). one quick snap and it came out with my fingers the rest of the way.
