:( how to fix a low hangin b pipe

sigh... i know i need a new exhaust but intill then how can i fix an extremely extremely low hangin b pipe? its almost touching the ground. it just started 2day. the muffler isnt connect to the b pipe anymore and the b pipe is about 1 inch away from the ground.

I ordered an exhaust from prostreet online and they didnt inform me it was out of stock for about 2 months.. So they refunded me the money after 3 months and after they told me that didnt have any maxima exhaust in stock

Im going to order an SP2 from somewhere but intill then how can i fix this b pipe. I can just see it now scraping going down the highway and making a shower of sparks.

Thanks

sean

...ill post a pic up in a second.

id just remove it dude, put up with the crappy sounding exhaust till your new one arrives. better then showering sparks

or if it isnt rusted through go buy a gasket from your local auto store and bolt it back up.

probably not much, b pipe isnt responsible for sound supression, mostly your muff. and cat do that (as far as I know, im not super mechanic guy so its ok for my ego if I am wrong, you can all throw apples at me)

This happened on my explorer, muffler sagged and started dragging, it was the most horrendous sound, so I ripped it off, it was all rusted to **** so I literally grabbed it and pulled it off, it came off somewhere between the cat and y pipe so it was like having straight pipe almost till I bought an exhaust, it sounded sweet, like a harley Lol.

Thats really bad...looks like you have a hanger thats not even connected....Get under there and see if you can tye the B-pipe off till your new exhasut comes in...thats definetly not connected at some point

-matt

**EDIT** I can see it in your first pic...take a look at the hanger that broke off your B-pipe...take some metal wire and tye that off to that post

Just take a metal coat hanger and bend it up to fit around the pipe and into that bushing, that should last you till you get you're new exhaust.
