S-Techs vs Eibachs
i was wondering if anyone has had 1st hand experience of drivign a 4th gen with Eibachs and then S-Techs......i love my s-techs but i am an avid auto-x'er and i was wondering which springs actually handle better....i have AGXs now .....the ride height difference doesnt bother me cause i want to handle the best i possibly can..i know lower isnt always better...my other suspesion mods include FSTB, Lower Tie Bar......RSB is on ZEE way and hopefuly SFCs if we can get production going

Dont have a first hand responce for you, but how does the car feel swinging it around from corner to corner? Based on your sid looks like you still get a lot of body roll. Maybe SFCs could stiffen it up nicly and help cut clean lines.

it doesnt feel bad..still alot of understeer......i do need a RSB that will help alot and i was planning on SFC when we can get a decent set.....the RSB is next inline so we will see next year i guess since my lasdt auto-x is sunday

eibachs are definitely more the performance-based spring while s-techs are the biggest drop available for the max as far as springs go, i believe. think about it: the 's' in 's-tech' stands for style, not speed. and you can't go wrong with german engineering.

dont get me wrong i like the drop of the s-techs it looks good..but i dunno if they are helping me on the track......arhjskhdfsjkfh......i might have to trade for some eibachs.....of course my other option is get custom rated coilovers from progress......

I have had both installed on my car with KYB AGX struts. I also had Progress springs installed too.
Between the Eibach and the Tiens, I would definitely say that the Eibachs rode smoother and felt like they handled better. However for a drop, the Tien's were far more low in the front than the Eibachs. A good balanced spring I found was the Progress.

definetly the eibachs hands down. our suspension travel is limited from the factory, so the least drop is the best. i have been on Intrax, Eibach, and Cunuck Motorsports. The intrax stink badly. they are too low in the rear causing bottom outs. the front is identical to eibach in ride height which if OK but they have 7 coils and they touch all day long and it irked me. i fell that it was a poor design. the Canuck Motorsports springs are the same drop as eibach in the rear but lower in the front. i have done multiple setups with all the springs and currently running CM front Eibach rear. its a very even drop wheel gap wise. as for performance.... the front has about zipola travel and it bugs the crap out of me. SO to fix it i planned on getting Koni reds from a 3rd gen and installing them. WHY? because they are much shorter than stock, which will add travel for a superb ride. the reason i have not done this is basically money. life aint cheap and i can live with what i got. the idea is perfect for any lowered maxima, even if you bought koni yellows for a 4th gen and trimmed the bottom down for an added 1". every bit helps. im planning on swapping back to the eibachs soon anyhow.
FYI s techs are always on the bump stops, which is ZERO travel.
