car sat for 1 1/2 weeks and bat is dead???normal

like i said my car sat for like a week and a half and it was completely dead the alarm wouldnt even beep to open it. I thought it should have lasted longer then that. It is a brand new battery by the way maybe 4 months old. Well the real question is -is it normal for a battery/maxima to do that? what is your experiences

I come back from vacation and im hungry so i try 2 go to tacobell but no lol sry just had to throw that lil part in

Maybe you left something on? On my old 3rd gen max, my battery would die out if I let it sit for more than a few days. The symptom got worse over time. Thinking it was a bad battery, I went out and purchased a new one. The new battery fixed the problem for about 2-3 days, then the problem came back. Took the battery back to Sears thinking I got a bad one, had them check everything out. It turned out to be a dying alternator. It was not putting out enough charge to keep the battery topped off, slowly draining it over time. This could be something to check. Good luck man.

Why do you have 2 led security lights? is it an aftermarket alarm? what you could do is just disconnect the battery when you leave for several days. Draining a battery all the way down like that will shorten its lifespan. I would also recommend getting a battery booster if you don't already have one they can be a real life saver for only 25 bucks - mine has a really cool fluorescent light, I use it all the time.

No it is not normal. You either have a weak battery or a drain. I have left my car for 3-4 weeks at a time without starting it, and it fires up without any problems (as does my wife's car).

It could be something non-obvious, like a trunk light...
