Does the maxima you just installed the fog lights into have the headlight stalk with the foglight switch on it? How exactly are you turning ON the foglights?

Look at the rear speaker removal how-to - it will show you how to pull the rear seat out... or check www.installdr.com.

1. Get new switch
2. Remove old stalk
3. Put in new stalk
4. Turn on fog lights
5. Look cool at night

There is probably something more detailed in the stickies...

You can buy a stalk with the foglight switch at a junkyard, or try the classifieds forum. A new one will be available at the dealer, but it won't be cheap. Try Ebay too.

I was going to suggest that, but refrained given what I could infer regarding the competencies of the parties involved. I figured the relatively fool-proof solution was best...

I installed my fogs 2 years ago and I had to change the headlight stalk. Also, make sure that there is a relay and fuse for them also.

i put stock fogs on a while back and just hot wired them to turn on with the headlights since i had no switch. i recently found a sweet deal on the stock stalk with the fog switch, so is it simply a matter of rewiring the fogs to stock then pluggin in the stalk? or are there other things involved? they work and i have had no problems. i didnt add a fuse or relay, so im thinkin im alright, but i might be missin something. sorry if i sound like an idiot its like 3:30 am
