Tranny question.

Tranny question.
My input shaft bearing is bad, I just paid my teacher (who works at nissan) 180 bucks for 6 gay tranny bearings. I heard these things are extremely hard to take off. I will not have a vice to hold anything but will prob use pry bars and cutters to get them off. Has anyone replaced these badboys? and if so what did you use to get them off and which bearings did you replace. Another question I will be changing my clutch/flywheel and rear main seal. Do I have to remove the y-pipe and the engine mount bar? Im sure it can be done without them being removed. This will be a weekend job with pics.

I heard various testiments where people got the tranny off without taking off the crossmember, then others with out taking off the y, some having to take off both.
Rear main seal, you may want to the seal puncher, it should make placing that seal on easier as i30ds can tell you, it was a pain to get on.

anyone open up their trans to replace some bearings? I heard these things are extremely hard to take off. Also what type of aftermarket clutch do you guys have? Im getting a fidenza flywheel looking for something to grab better than stock but nothing extreme.
