do you know how to check your ecu for codes, look in the faq its there, follow the procedures and record the series of blinking lights, then go back online and check what the ligt combo meant. are you sure you connected all harnesses if you removed any. i had to disconnect a few to get to the starter. just double check that. are you sure you reconected all vacum hoses if you removed any. when you find the procedure for checking ecu codes in the faq, there will be instructions on how to reset the ecu so your ses light goes off.

hope this helps

EDIT

Thanks. I'll check that out. There was one wiring harness (the one that plugs into the box that is between the air filter box and the engine) that I forgot to plug in the first time I started it after the install. Is it possible that starting it without this plugged in would cause the light to come on?

could be possible, if what you are talking about is the harness on the MAF sensor, then if there is a MAF code that is prob what came up.

I just did the ECU self-diagnosis thing that you linked me to. Thanks for that info. I got two codes:
0102 which is the MAF sensor. I'm pretty sure that's what was unplugged when I first started the car after the starter install.
0304. This one says it's the Knock Sensor. I'm hoping it was also caused by the unplugged wires and that now that I reset the SES light and have everything plugged in, I will not have any problems. However, if the KS really is malfunctioning, how would I know it?

if the KS is really bad, you'll notice very poor performance and bad gas mileage. after you reset the ecu, drive around for a while the come back and do it again, the MAF code should go away, if the KS code is still there then it needs to be replaced. join the bad KS club. :-)
