Q's on DE-K VI & VQ35 cams...

Cliff notes: Do the VQ35 cams and DE-K IM fit the OG VQ30?

Long story: Basically I had a 95 SE, totalled it, I've been driving an Accord for the past year and a half, and I wanna get a 97-98 SE. I'm looking to go all-motor with it and use some DE-K and 3.5 components but I wanna get a feel of what I can do. Here's basically what I have planned: I/H/E/y-pipe, DE-K VI, OEM 350Z/G35C cams, JWT ECU. I'm looking to make ~210-220WHP and I guess break into the 13's. No search for me (yet) and I read some stuff in the all-motor section but nothing was really confirmed...I think an update on the FAQs is in order...anyway, will those parts work? I wanna do everything possible without cracking the engine open. Thx.

Wont you kind of have to crack the engine to put the cams in?

I know the vq30 cams can go into the vq35 with spacers, I dont know about the other way around.

The setup you describe sounds great but why not just swap in a VQ35 with headers, tune, and good clutch, you should see the same numbers you posted and less work and parts to put on?

Ecu for vq35 I'm not sure about, I remember someone asking about it and stating the altima 3.5 ecu can be modded, maybe the max 3.5 ecu can also?

What are the issues with that swap? Can I use the VQ30 ECU and not use the VTC? I thought about that too as the gains would be the same and the VQ35 is lighter...

Haven't done quite enough reading then... there are multiple guys already running what you have described in the all motor section.

Alright cool. It's just tough using Yahoo! to search...but basically the swap is worked out and done? Cool. I can't wait to start working so I can really start working...on my future Max.
