Need Help With Bose Subwoofer Malfunction

Has anyone determined the cause and fix to the Bose Subwoofer cutting in and out? I hear a faint 'pop' when it cuts out. Usually after a minute or so it comes back on.

I searched and found some threads on this topic but none suggested a cause and fix.

Thanks

First of all none of us 4th gen's have a 5th gen bose sub in our cars. Try posting in the AUDIO forums first.

No 4th gen's never had a sub option. They had BOSE 6.5's in the rear, no subs. He has 17 degree's advanced from 15? 5th gen's can have the timing advanced, we can't unless we go to stand-alone engine management... I think.

Isn't my 'sub' really just a 6.5"? This is why I asked you 4th gen guys, hoping for help, not flames...

Yes, total timing advance is 17 from the stock 15, performed at the dealership.

Also even if it was a 6.5 inch sub, our 4th gen's don't have subs with the bose set up. Only mid - ranges that play some sub mid frequencies.

Solution??

I have an 00 fully loaded SE, same exact issue. Possibly the crossover or pre-amp for the sub. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Please advise before I head to the stealership. I know this is a 4th GEN forum but there are no answers to this question anyhwere on the ORG.

Thank you in advance.
