Non-Boss Stereo from a 2001 Maxima in a 1997 Maxima

Is it possible to install a Non-Boss stereo from a 2001 Maxima in a 1997 Non-boss Maxima? Waring harness looks prety much the same.

have you ever looked at the bose stereo for the 2001 and 1997 maxima??..they are completely different .. how would it ever fit ????

The wiring harnesses should be the same for any Nissan. Electrically, you will have no problem. The antenna may need an adapter, I'm not sure. I installed a stereo from an '03 350Z into my '95 Maxima. It worked, except that the Z-car's head unit was a little larger, so I had to file down my trim piece around the stereo to make it fit. I don't know what an '01 Maxima stereo looks like, but if it is a different shape, you'll be able to install it electrically, but not physically.
