How do you rate your Max ??
#1
Sup all, I was just wondering how everyone else here honestly rates their Max on a scale of 1-10. Don't compare it to the Bimmers and Lexus's, but just compared to other cars you know are in the same class; Or just don't even compare it - Just rate your car, based on how happy you are while driving it, looking at it and how it has performed for you. I have yet to have a major problem on my '97 and love every minute behind the wheel... Rate your car and mention the model too...
My '97 SE
A 9 for me... Love it.

A 5...
Sorry, but I've just had too many problems with the car since I bought it in my 1 year and 2 month ownership....
I guess you can expect that from a 93 SE auto w/ 86k on it, it has just let down my expectations, i always wanted a 3rd gen Maxima and it was the best car I could possibly afford and my 1st car.. So I blew my life savings on it, getting a fairly good deal with about 1,500$ left for mods and in not even 2 months, boom the tranny crapped out. 1,200$ later it drove okay until it started to drink an ample amount of gas, tune up, O2 sensor, fuel pressure regulator, bunch of system and sensor checks and nothing, now busted bushings, possibly busted struts, Catalytic converter, VTCs... uhh... should I go on?
Anyways, I'm not complaining, I love the car and all, but I've only gotten to enjoy it for 1/3 of the time I had it, the rest is all problems!
So a 5 is what I give it.

You gotta see "the fast and the furious," opening june 22; i think it's gonna be sweet (even though i didn't see any max's on the previews). Oh yeah, that's where my sign. pic came from. Later

I would give it a 7.5. I love the engine, ergonomic controls, and spacious interior. I hate the rough transmission, weak AC, and poor NVH.
Overall it is a good match for Accord and Camry, but I would not place it in a class above those two vehicles.

But on a good note, that just goes to show how well they improved on the 3rd gen when engineering the 4th... Imagine how good the 5th gens must be compared to the 4th! Damn...
Good luck... thanks for posting anyways.

I would rate my car a 7. First of all because I have an automatic and not a 5spd. Another thing is I don't have the money right now to get a supercharger, new paint job, 5spd. conversion(maybe), bigger brakes, detailed engine, rest of Stillen bodykit, and lots of other things.

i'd give it 8.5. y? well, for starters i have an auto... two, i'd love it if my car's rear looked like the 98-99s', and lastly, MONEY to mods comes in slower than i want it to! but otherwise, man this is an awesome car!
