speedbump damage to my exhaust

so a few weeks ago i was driving around campus and my muffler managed to get ripped off by a speed bump on campus. needless to say that sucked and my car sounds like *** still becuase im currently driving around open y pipe becuase after the muffler broke the exhaust colapsed under its own weight.

So basically i need a new muffler now for sure and me and a friend are debating making our own exhaust system using 2.25 in piping mandrel bent parts and welding up an exhaust that fits the car really well.

So im looking for a muffler that will offer nice looks as well as an aggressive sound. Im not looking for a strait though muffler this time becuase the resonance is just 2 annoying, but instead id like a chambered muffler.

Im currently looking at the Flowmaster Super 40 series muffler with a smaller (2.5-3in) tip. but i keep hearing that its a really loud muffler. Any suggestions?

Dynomax Super Turbo I have heard is deep and throaty, and i think if you put a resonator on your b-pipe it'll be great. plus only about $40 if you shop around. where are you getting mandrel bent piping from?

I have a Greddy Street Po with a Custom Maxima Cat, and a Budget Y-pipe, and you cant really hear the exhaust to bad. It is a very mellow deep sound that I have loved since I got it. Ohh yeah I also have a Place Racing Cold Air Intake. I would go with Greddy.

any preformance gain with 2.25 in piping will be the same as 2.5 in piping, it only adds like 2hp anyway so im not woried about that. But the 2.25 will be quieter, and fit better. Size doesnt always matter.

Ive heard good things about the dynomax super turbo.

We arnt getting mandrel done, we are buying mandrel bent U's and cutting and welding to get the angles we need.
