Estimate on painting rear bumper

Unfortunately, I had a very light 'bump' with a Navigator today and it chipped a half-dollar sized hole out of my paint as well as a 6 inch scratch and some other small flakey spots that will eventually chip out as well. For now I am just going to use touch up paint so that the white doesn't stand out so bad, but am wondering if anyone has an estimate of what it would cost to have the bumper re-painted?

I may end up gettting an entire paint job, as I have been wanting a metallic black Max anyway, but depending on how the touch up makes it look and what estimates on a bumper re-paint are, I may be able to hold off for a while on the complete paint job.

Any info/help is appreciated.

well i got mine painted for about 200, but for a good job, and for them to blend it in and match it with the paint of the rest of the car, anywhere from 250 to 350 is reasonable. then again their is no fixed rates in paint jobs. Every shop has their prices, and everyshop does better or differnet work then others

If you're worried about the cost of repainting a rear bumper the same color, then dont even think about repainting the car a different color. Thats going to cost 10-15 times the amount of repainting that bumper.

First off, thanks all for the advice and information. I had an estimate done today and it was $525 It looks as though I am going to be able to get it fixed fairly inexpensive though because the guy I bought it from still has some paint left from painting it before I bought it and has a shop that he's only gonna charge me $15 per hour labor to fix!!!!

As far as this goes, I'm not 'worried' about the cost of repainting just the bumper I just wanted an idea. I mean why spend $500 painting just the bumper when I could just a little over triple that amount and get the entire car painted? I have never had any type of body work done in the past, so I literrally had no idea how much it would cost (and I certainly wasn't expecting $500+)
