Best intake system ever!!!

Ok so i was bored today, i know intakes dnt add any hp, but i was bored and i miss the sound.

I was gona hack the airbox but instead i just removed the bottom half and the air duct thingy ( kinda like a very hacked airbox!)

I strapped the filter to the top so crap wont get in it, i must say it sounds amazing and seems more responsive.

If any of you are bored try this out!!

I had every intake setup except the injen style cold air and this one is my fav, but that might be cause it didnt cost anything!

i am very suprised at the outcome!!

I personally think that the reason the stock intake is so much better is because of the whole snorkel setup, but I've heard that its because of the resonator also. I forgot who posted that, I don't see how that would make it better, but I heard it does.

The resonator in the midpipe straightens airflow and reduces turbulence. Nicer flow = less noise, but better fuel atomization, better throttle response, more power, better efficiency, etc. etc....

That's the main reason the stock intake is better.

I tried this setup and nearly crapped my pants the first time I punched the gas! Jeezus! Waaaay to loud. Healthy sound above 3000rpm but below that it sounds like crap.

any intake you pay money for is rice cause you spent money on something that is supposed to give you HP and doesnt

ok so the best intake ever is exhaust driven, but this is second.

some intakes give about 1hp, but mainly it will shift your power band to feel stornger at a given point. . . say high end, or mid range.

I have had this intake setup before also. infact about a year ago i was rocking this setup like it was the best thing out there. To hold the filter on i flipped the top part of the box over.

I did this on my Altima. Growls like crazy on WOT. But there's no freaking torque in low rpm. Soooo slow acceleration. Keep the rpm's way up and you'll feel some payoff.
