overheating?

My masima overheated on the way to work 2 sundays ago. Well, rahter was almost at H withthe heater on max and the car not stopped but moving. The radiator fans dont seem to tunr on even when stop and the tmep begins to raise. Any input on how i could fix this would be appreciated. BTW coolant isnt low is like a 1/2 inch below max when all warmed up.

Thanks,
Tyler

My advice: Overheating an engine can really seriously send it to the junk yard. Don't drive it until you fix it.

Figure out why the fan's aren't switching on. If you turn on the A/C (even if the car is cold) the fans should turn on. If the fans don't, then you need to figure out why (fuse, electrical connection, relay etc.). Most likely it's time for a new fan tray.

sounds like your cooling fans are bad and need to be replaced. As njmodi said, first check the fuses and wiring for the fans. Could be something as simple as a fuse
