Question regarding ohm meter reading on coil packs

My 99 SE-L has been exhibiting some intermittent sputtering at idle and I checked all six coil packs to see if I could find anything. All six coil packs have "infinite" resistance with the positive probe (of my meter) on the no.1 terminal and the negative probe on the no.2 terminal. When reverse the meter leads this is what I get:

cyl.1 - 6.99 Mega ohms
cyl.2 - 7.08 Mega ohms
cyl.3 - 6.86 Mega ohms
cyl.4 - 7.40 Mega ohms
cyl.5 - 6.99 Mega ohms
cyl.6 - 7.20 Mega ohms

On the stickies it states that these values should be approximately 1.3-1.7 Mega ohms and if they are not they need to be replaced. If that is the case then all 6 coil packs are no good. My only problem with that is that my car runs fine... the sputtering is very intermittent when it does occur it is very mild and it seems to happen at random times. If you have any thoughts on this I'd appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

I'm not sure... I'm just performing the tests per the stickies/Haynes Manual.

i just checked mine out right now. the ones from a 99. readings are 1.3 1.3 1.5 for the front packs and 1.5 1.7 1.7 for the rear. was i right to change them? and damn i forgot to check the used coils i bought. i just assumed since they were off a 97, they'd be ok.

most likely the transistors in the coils are failing.
