Do I need to take off the bumper to put on a fog light?

I bought a fog light off a member of this forum, the light doesn't fit in my mount, I am wondering if I need to pull off the front bumper to put on the fog light, or maybe I need to remove the fog light mount for the fog light to fit in properly.

Please assist, thanks.

You can get at it from below, just by removing the black plastic bottom panels. The fog light attaches to an assembly, that attaches to the car. Once you are below the bumper, you will be able to see it. It is pretty simple.

Good luck,
Steve

You don't need to take off the bumper or the plastic bottom covers to get at the foglamp mount. The lamps go in at an angle, you may have to play with it a little. If that doesn't work, you can remove the mount without having to take anything off except the foglamp itself. I had a bent mount once, took it off in about 10 minutes or less. What year Max do you have? There are differences between the foglamps for a 95/96 and 97 and above. Make sure you have the right one for your car.

like said above, there's a cover with three screws holding in on each bottom side. unscrew them and you'll have enough room to mount the brackets.

I think he sent me the ones from 97-99, it still won't fit, the 95-96 one kinda curves on all 4 sides but the 97-99 is kinda straight on one side and that's what he sent me.
