It could be a great deal, it could be a bad deal - unless you know the miles that are on the suspension and exactly what struts they are, its hard to judge.

well the max has 120k on it , so i know it has less then that.. the front struts have a dial on them i guess that is a ride ajustment but the back does not if that helps

I, personally, wouldn't buy any suspension components that are over 20k old.

If I was in your shoes, I would NOT buy the springs/struts.

Sounds like KYB AGX's but the rears have a adjustment **** on the lower portion of the strut and the adjustments for the front are on top of the strut post accesible from the engine bay.

I wouldn't. They could be blow, or close to going. who knows. i supposed you could spend $200 and learn the hard way or get lucky. Might as well buy something that you know and is new.

mmmm I love a good junk yard find .... I gotta go to the junk yard soon for fun and see what I can come up with ..... if theyre red then its kyb agx like everyone else said....H+R's are good springs, they sell for over 200 alone and thats new new ... so id say go for it ... take him down to 175 and say take it or leave it ....what kinda rims on the car??? .... interior color ??? ..fog lights, if u get something for me that I need ill pay you well !

well, does the car have rims and tires on it? perform a bounce test for the struts. springs typically dont go bad, so there's really no risk there. if they are adjustable, try giving a bounce test on every setting, and see how different it is.. if they pass, and on the highest setting the car is very hard to push down i say go for it.

I would talk him down. It is a good find and I would say stay around the $150 range. I bought used springs for a little less than 100. but its up to you. I would do it.

why assume they're blown? when my car got wrecked i left the suspension on. Not worth the time and effort to take it off. Progress and KYB's everything was good

Before you decide to buy them Id determine just what kind of struts they are first.
They sound like AGX's but you said the the adjustment **** was on the front, KYB's have them on the reer and look like this,..

The fronts have them on the strut post which you adjust with a small flathead screw driver.

The safest best would be to just buy the springs cheap and get new struts.
