Mardi has run an 11.5, but that was on his old setup (VQ30, turbo, 35 shot if IIRC).

your definetly gonna need a 3.5 to get to 10's. I'm sure you can get to 10's it's just all about how big your wallet is. Your gonna spen a lot of money just getting components in your engine to get a lower compression rate.

question... what is the compression rate on the 3.5?

if you have to ask, you do not have the technical know how to do accomplish getting a maxima to run 10's.

and because you are asking, you probably do not have the money to take it to a shop capable of making it run 10's

I guess its like the saying. If you have to ask how much it costs, then you probably cant afford it.

MrGone makes alot of sense actually, if someone wants to run tens they will be able to figure it out on themselves or pay someone to do it. Then they will be telling us how to get into the 10s

It only takes money. Who ever has the most money wins (usually).

The VQ can't take enough boost or N2O to get you into 10's. Assuming 3100lbs with the driver, you would need 600hp to get it to run app. 10.7 ET.

Let's say you stripped it down and reduce the weight by 500lbs.

2600lbs with the driver would require ONLY 500hp to run 10.7.

2600lbs with 600hp would get you 10.1.

It would require high end tuning from top secret, kei office, amuse, mines, yumekobo, and the yashio factory

i dont think any maxima will ever run in the 10s. I was at the track 2nights ago and supercharged mustangs, turbo civics and dsm where owning, these car runing mid 12s along with a group of wrx's that ran low 14s with one redic STI running in the 12s. A couple big bikes ran in the 10s at around 130 mph. A 4 door g35 was ruing 14.8 all night. and a rediculous audi was runnig mid 12., he had virtually no exhaust, a profesionally tuned chip from audi that was amazing, performance injectors and fuel pump............oh ya..and a bi turbo swap from a RS4. Best of all, it was bright yellow and a wagon with 130k

This is him at the end of the race putting his exhaust back together

I think what he is saying is, if you ask such a question versus taking a few mins to research and find out for yourself, then it will be impossible to get into the 10s, because you wont be trying to figure out a solution rather than expecting one to be given to you.

I think thats what he was trying to say, if not dont mind me.

nah its a good gauge of how obscenely hard it is for ANY street car to break 10's. the fast and the furious ruined the world. "let me just adjust the fuel map and youll run 9's...." gayness

10s???? WTF

I know it could be done with the VQ ond FWD,
but if I were to do it, it would be RWD conversion
and a small block chevy with an automatic.

yeah, thats right, an auto

If you violated the maxima like this sentra was violated AND added turbo and nitrous with the 3.5, *MAYBE* you could do 10's.
