P1320 after Compression Check
P1320 after Compression Check
Hello everyone. Last night I did a compression check because I was afraid I had a blown headgasket, turns out everything is just fine all cylinders were at 180. However, once I put everything back together and started it up the SES came on and a scan put out P1320. I read up on this code and found it had to do with the coilpacks. So today I reset the ECU took it for a spin and it never came back on. So my question is simply this, is there cause for concern that a coilpack is bad or did this come up because of the compression check? Some posts about this code said that the coilpack(s) still may be bad even if the SES doesn't come back on after clearing it.
Perhaps you didn't quite seat one of the coils back down properly. I wouldn't worry about it until you either get the code again or feel the engine misfiring.
Just double check that you plugged the coil pack harness connectors in all the way - you should hear a clear click for each one.
