Changing drivers side CV tomorrow

Is there anything I should know to help make it go more smoothly? I've never done this before, but I need it done by friday. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Just follow the instructions in the haynes manual. Driver's side is fairly easy. Should take you about an hour to an hour and a half.

Have a transport car handy incase you have to run and get an extra tool or something. hardest thing for me was breaking the axle nut.

The Haynes reads: for automatic transmissions, the pass side axle may have to be removed to insert a large screw driver through the differential gears to knock the driver side axle out.

I got it From Autozone. They had one in stock. It was about 120 bucks and I'll get 55 back for the Core.

Thanks for the replys everyone. I won't have time to do it today, but i'm going to have all day tomorrow. Wish me luck.

If you are planning on relacing the entire axle, that is no need to put a screw driver to push the other axle out, just give it a good tug it should come out.
