Painted Carbon Fiber Hoods
Has anybody here had there hood painted? If so, how did it come out? Also, those that live any the Northeast with them. How do they hold up in the cold weather and snow?

yes someone here has done it i know a company does it i just can't remember the name but someone on here with a rosewood color max has one .

painting on CF looks crappy (from wat ive seen) esp on white and black colors, the paint looks wavy and doesnt really look like a stock hood, you can tell somethin is up with it. you have a black max, get a standard CF weave, or a black/black weave which looks darker than the black/gray CF.
If done properly, it's not wavy at all. There isn't any difference between the paint on the hood and the the fenders. Just like fiberglass bumpers, if you have a cheap shop do it, it is going to be wavy and messed up. It's all in the prep work.
My wife's Integra has the exact same paint scheme on her hood, and you can't tell the difference between the painted CF and painted fenders.
