I'm running no AC compressor on my VQ but I can't find a belt the right length, either too short or too long. What are you non AC guys running? I'm strongly considering just rotating the alternator downward and running a very short belt w/ a custom upper bracket that has a little bit of adjustment to it. That would allow me to toss the tensioner all together.

I use a 4PK858 when I remove my A/C during the winter. But that is with a UDP.

you need a 36" serpertine belt if you plan to use stock pulley w/o the a/c compressor, stock size is like 42" or 44" or somethig like that

With no ac and a udp i used a gates "33.1

 

36" is way too big, same size as the stock belt on my 95 max

Trying to find the right size, actually the belt i got was 43 inch , the guy messsed up. I thought it was a 36 inch until I measured after trying to put it on. Where do you get a 36 inch belt from?
