yeah man i bought some new shock thingys for the hood and i couldnt take off the old ones so i returned them hehe and i will be taking a picture of the tool tonight

Where did you find them and how much did they cost? I only saw them for sale once and it was some outrageous price. Anyway not to jack your thread...

i bought them at discount autoparts for like 15 a piece.. but i couldnt get the damn ball out of the socket those old ones seem impossible to take off unless theres a special way and somebody can help me with that here......

use a small flat head screwdriver, pry the metal clip away and they should come right off

there is no metal clip i have tried mostly everything to pry the ball outand it doesnt come out if you want a picture of the thing tell me so i cna show you

yeah, sorry. i just checked mine and i guess nissan does'nt use the clip style. you should be able to clamp vise grips just below the socket that the ball is in, then twist the shock hard and it should come out. maybe spray inside the socket first with wd-40 or something first.

yeah i just got the ***** out of the socket it was the biggest pain in the a$$. i took out a ring that was far in the socket with a fishing hook heh... took awhile but i finally got them out

OMG i finally installed the new kncok sensor today and it took me like 10 minutes because i was using the wrong tool.. Well i went for a test drive and wow the car has been so responsive and i step on it and has a new sound to it lol the RPM's and still a little weird but damn its so much faster than before thank you everybody for the help
