I posted this yesterday, I was wondering if you had any thoughts on this:
I am having trouble programming my remote transmitter for my 96 MAxima. I followed the procedures, I stick
the key in 6 times within 10seconds and the flasher blinks, but the part that gets screwed up is that when I hit
the button on the transmitter, the flasher doesn't blink the second time. I was able to use the same remote on
another friends 96 SE so the remote is working fine. Have you come across anything like this? I check the
antenna attached to the glass fro mthe BCM and it looks ok. I can't really think of anything else. FYI...this car
never came with a remote so I had to buy my own, as far as I know, it never had a remote. I do know for sure
that it has an alarm and the alarms works as it should , I've been able to test the alarm by setting it off. Any
help would be greatly appreciated. it's a 96 MAxima GLE.
