Rear tail lights problem Wiring or Bulbs?

I have painted altezza tail lights on my car. They have been working fine for over a year. Well the inside light on the drivers side as been going out a lot. Sometimes it will work but most of the time it doesn't. The parking light works but when I hit the brake the whole light goes off. What do you think it is? Wiring or bulbs? All the other lights work. Please let me know. Thanks.

I would try the bulbs first obv, since it's the easiest and least expensive to fix.

BTW does anyone know what the Nissan part # is for 97 taillight sockets is?

i would try checking and/or hooking up a temporary ground for the lights. when you have dual filament bulbs and the ground is bad, the first filament will dim or go out when the second filament lights. since the ground wire is part of the harness, i don't know where it truly gets grounded.

first look at the contacts in the bulb socket and make sure that they are in place and not damaged or corroded. then make sure you have tapped into the ground wire and connect it to a good chassis ground. if this makes the light work properly, then you know you have a wiring problem.
