ABS light problem

i got another problem...my ABS light is on. The ABS therfore does not work. Every once in a while (every few days or week) the light will go off for a minute or two and the ABS works, but the light goes back on so they stop working again. this leads me to believe that I have no idea whats wrong.

Okay... So what sort of help do you need? The ABS system can generate codes, have you tried getting them read to see what is wrong? that would be the first step.

It's most likely a wheel speed sensor. Pull the codes to find out which one it is and replace it.

hmm. nobody knew about reading codes for the ABS system. Not even the Nissan dealer mechanics. Is it just like a code reader for the check engine light? go in the same place?

No, there is a procedure in the FSM, haynes, and chiltons manuals for pulling the abs code. There is a connector you have to ground out, and the ABS light should flash any codes stored. I don't have my 4th gen manual anymore, and I have not picked one up yet for the new car, so I cannot look up the procedure for you. I'm not suprised the nissan tech was confused, most of them are.
