clutch question

hey guys i have a 5spd 96 SE . so anyways when i start letting releasing clutch the car sttarts rolling forward without me pushing on gas. like i never seen that before usualy car stalls if u don't give it gas and let go the clutch. mine just starts rolling forward, or i stick in reverse start letting go of clutch starts rolling back. is it just me or that's how maximas are?

this is how all cars are
remember the car is idleing so you have power going to the flywheel but not the transmission (when in neutral). when you start engaging the clutch, usually you have to press on the gas at the same time to take off, but if you engage it slow enough, the idle speed (6000-8000rpm) will push the car forward. the same concept is when you are trying to take off on a hill and have to halfclutch it, so the car doesnt roll back when you let go of the brake pedal.
look it up at about.com or a similar site for a more detailed explanation

in other words - it is normal, if this didnt happen then you would have a reason to be concerned

like dropping the clutch, or just starting to enter the friction point. if its the latter, then its perfectly normal

It's because we have something they don't....torque.

if you let go of the clutch pedal slow enough it will go
he does have a point though, a V6definetly has more torque (as in this example) than a I4. I used to drive trucks where you would have to try to stall them (let go of the clutch and press on the brakeat the same time)
