I'm really interested in buying the H&R springs but the cheapest I've found is $220, if anyone knows of a cheaper price please post.

cheapest I've found...but still looking

I was searching the net and came upon
http://www.autob1.com/Html/HR/html/nissan_springs.asp

The one you are looking for is the "Maxima Typ A32 95-99"
Here they have the springs for $199.95 and about $12 for shipping. That's the best I've seen so far. Maybe I'll email them to see if we can get a group deal going.

That is the cheapest I've heard of, and I would be in on a group deal if you could get one started.

Sadly, the SHOX.COM Maxima.org group pricing is DEAD as of 5/1/01. Just called Daryl at Shox.com and that is what he told me.

Regular prices for them aren't that great:

Tokico's are $319.00
KYB's are $299.00
Koni's are $518.00
Sets of 4

Eibach Pro-kit $219.00 Lowers 1.5" / 1.3"
H+R $229.00 Lowers 1.4" / 1.3"
Suspension Techniques Springs $169.00 Lowers 1.3"
Addco rear sway bar $129.00

That's too bad...that's not a bad price for the KYBs, especially after hearing some of the durability problems with Tokicos. I think the KYBs might be a good alternative.

Yeah, wanted originally to get an H&R/KYB setup. Unfortunately, Tirerack has been backordered on KYB for the past month with no firm ship date so I cancelled. Will be going H&R/Koni instead. Ordered the Koni's for $510 (shipped to OH) from carparts.com. ...too bad about shox.com.

Do you know if Shox.com has the KYBs in stock? They are hard to get.

Didn't ask. Found out that the group pricing was dead and that was it for me... But yes, they are hard to get. In fact, just got an email from the Tire Rack that KYB's won't be in until 08/01/01. I'm not willing to wait that long and with all the talk of Tokico's wearing out, I don't mind spending a few bucks more and getting Koni's. Definitely like the fact that you can stiffen them later if they start to soften. I'm hoping that this will be the last set of shocks/struts for my max.

Hey if your looking for KYB's go to their website and click the link "where to purchase". They'll give you a whole bunch of shops and on-line stores you can purchase from. I got the backs from summitracing.com ($126 for both shipped part# KYB-341202) and the fronts from philsinc.com ($164 for both shipped part# 341150 & 341151). I also got the H&R springs at tirerack for $224 shipped. H&R came in two days, summit in three and phils in four business days. Remember if you buy from summitracing.com you have to put that part number just like i have it typed or you'll have hell trying to find it(remember u need two). I've installed the springs and shox on my car and the ride is nice and the drop looks sweet!

Well so far so good. I think i still have to break it in though. I've only had it in for 4 days and got wheel alignment. The ride is only slightly stiffer than stock and the drop looks great! I'm sure as i break it in more the ride will get smoother. No complaints here. I wanna see how it rides after I put the rims on (17" or 18", haven't decided yet). Hope the info I gave you helps.
