look at my Hella ballasts (pics)...few questions...

First off, notice the different numbers on each Hella ballast..does this mean they aren't the same?

Also what model of Hella ballasts are these? Gen III's?

The seller claims they both came from an E39 5-series....

Second, one of the bulb adapters is broken but still holds to the bulb well...is there anything to worry about here?

Third, would you guys use these particular Hella ballasts on the left, or go with the Matsu****a OEM ballasts off of a late model Nissan on the right?

Thanks

1) i don't think the different numbers matter, and yes, Hella gen 3 from E39, as well as a variety of other german cars

2) the P32D connectors should have 4 of those groves to hold onto the two nubs on the d2s bulb. you should be able to connect it to the bulbs in a different angle

3) the matsush!ta seem to be newer...i would take that into consideration. but the hella is also very good and reliable. you can't go wrong with either.

I noticed that one of the Hella's has a BMW logo whiles the other doesn't..hmm. I think I may try and get another newer looking Gen III w/ the logo.
