Another bees in the can thread. Help!

I finally get my car back from the shop and for some reason my exhuast is making a killer bees in the can noise more than ever. I double checked and everything is fine all bolts tight. Right after WOT the exhaust makes an agonizing buzzing noise. Vrooooooooooom then off the gas BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ POP POP

Now the only thing I can think of is exhuast wraping the flex section of the ypipe and getting another muffler but which one?

My exhuast MOD: WSP Ypipe, 2.5" open exhuast, Borla Pro Xs Muffler, no cat.

put the cat back in, that'll stop the bees. They are attacking your car cause it's making too much pollution. (jk)

Check underneath and make sure nothing it loose enough to cause that.

I looked again the O2 is tight.
But there's a slight gash at the flex section but it doesn't look that bad. It sure doesn't look like it penetrated all the way through, just a slight graze is what it looks like.

did you take off the y pipe and check if you can see through that little gash?...like if light penetrates or no?

I would try a muffler with a resonator on it because the straight pipe designs usually suck at muffling the noise. Got an Apexi Dunk style cat-back for sale

Oh wow you're alive!!! lol Haven't gotten word from you in ages. Man most people with an early design WS ypipe have the same thing, myself included. I know its the flex section, cus that's what WS supposedly redesigned, and alot of people are saying that that new flex eliminated that bees in can after goin to redline.

Hope to see you and that beast around sometimes man, peace

Eddie

I know, I miss going out to the biweekly meets.
there still around right?

I do have the redesigned WSP Y and it always given me that bees in the can noise and now it's more noticable.
I went through like 3 different mufflers: 1. OBX 2. Turbo Muff 3. Borla Pro Xs. Cause I hate to add the cat , resonator etc restricting flow.

It sounds like a HONDA

ive had cattman, WS and budget, for price the Budget was wayyyy worth the money and more!! obviously the cattman was the best in quality with the budget being a close second but i can tell you that WS is dead last and suck. Get a budget for sure!! u need to get the number from lssexhaust.com and call them to order it.

I agree with this post.....my exhaust got much more buzzy when I replaced my high flow cat with a straight pipe.

I found the problem, cracked gasket Y to straight pipe.
It sounds so much better now the only thing I'm missing now is headers. It's just not complete without headers...imo....

So if anyone has a set please let me know.

Don't get me wrong I think the the straight flow design is for best use for all out racing, which I have now.
WSY > (no cat) >custom2.5" pipe> Borla Exhaust. Yeah it sounds a little raspy but I really don't care, all I care for is getting every ounce of HP I can out of this motor.
I'm actually on my way to solving the bees in the can noise while still maintaining a straight through design. But to do so I need to get some Headers to modify and tinker with.
