wasnt trying to **** any one off that is why i said "FAQS would of givein you the idea that it is a GXE.." giving you the answer.. but usually....not to be rude or mean, if you have time to post a thread, you have time to open another one and do a quick scan for info.

I do this while i work also and understand about wanting info right away... sorry if i offended

Just took me not even 5 minutes to open up FAQ and find this

ALL 4th gen maximas have the same 3.0 VQ engine. 4 cam, timing chain, 24 valve v6 engine doing 190 HP with 210 TQ to the flywheel. 95 is the fastests 4th gen due to the fact it was the lightest and had less emissions crap on it. 97-99 Got a face and rear end lift, They weight more due to the fact they have re-enforced frames. 95-96 manual maximas have trans bearing issuses. 97 had a recall on alternators.. You have a FWD car not a RWD or AWD. Vq's can last up to 300k if well taken care of, been rated best top 10 engines for the past 10 years. Side airbags came out in 98 I believe im def sure it came out in 99 SEL models. READ the FAQ's Im not going to type up an essay about the diff of each years. In simple nissan maximas don't have options for diff engines or driveterrain.
