Driver side mirror cracked

Hey all,

What is the easiest way to replace the side mirror? The mirror itself is cracked.

I heard if I can buy a mirror with the same profile and somehow just attach it over the broken one? Do I use a special adhesive? I went to my local Autostrauss but they said I have to take out the mirror and replace it.

I'd rather just attach another mirror over my old cracked one.

Any advice and help is appreciated. Thanks.

holy crap why do people post for this crap!!!! ... go to pepboys and buy a replacement mirror!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! take the broken one out and put the new one in ..... whoever told you to put a new one over the broken one is an IDIOT
