Help Adding Transmission Fluid

Well, my transmission has developed a slow leak, so it will need to be rebuilt soon (112k on it). Since I would rather wait a bit, I paid nissan to change my fluid for me and see how far it has leaked, which was virtually none.

Since then, I purchased some tranny fluid from them and tried to add some myself, but when I removed the filler plug, the fluid start flowing out! Did they overflow it somehow?

Better way to do it? I tried with just the front end jacked up (on stands) and with the car level on the ground. Should I jack up both the front and the back?

Thanks!

Maybe they used some sort of pump to get it in, and couldn't monitor the DIY's way of ensuring the proper level.

When adding fluid, the car should be flat. When it pours out, there's enough fluid in there.

Alright, I guess I'll check it again later (it has been about a month) and see if some still leaks out. Thanks
