Replacing rear bench?

I was wondering if anyone has replaced their rear bench with, say 2 racing seats? Would there be any weight reduction? I know the brackets would have to be custom fitted but how hard would this be? Anyone with experience on this?

i don't think anyone has done this on here. i was contemplating on putting two front seats back there because i have an extra set of leather seats, but i don't think it'd be worth the hassle. i think it could be done, and would look like the new 6th gen 4 seat model...i doubt you'd find much in weight savings because the rears really aren't that heavy...there's plenty of other places you can save weight, but in the end i don't really think it's worth a few small savings...that's just my opinion though.

yea, im planing on putting 4 racing seats in my max after winter, but my plans always change. the main thing for me would be after you put the seats in the back, you will have like bare space back there, but now i know what im going to do, you'd just have to see. and also you'd have to make some kind of custom console for between the back seats, but thats where my custom fiberglassing skills come into play, im doing all 4 door panels as of last week.(fiberglass) im out of here( work) time to go work on em. later. but yea, the main thing would be youd have to make some kind of brackets for em, my friends friend is top notch with that stuff, hes the one whos going to make me the piece out of metal so it isnt so bare back there. i dont know.....i will tho in 4 or so months.
