3 different EGR valves????

i called my mechanic yesterday to get an estimate on replacing the EGR solenoid valve since code 1005 decided to come out of nowhere and mess up my going through inspection. he called me back and said that for the 97 maxima they have 3 different ones and that he'll have to look at my car to see which one it needs. i was gonna get it from courtesyparts.com but i'm not sure if there's any truth to what he said and i only see one on the website for courtesy so i'm wondering if anyone knows for sure. i have a 97 max SE 5 spd. if that helps.

EGRC Solenoid valve
EGR-BPT (backpressure tranducer) valve
EGR valve

Since you got a code for the solenoid valve, that is the one I would diagnose/replace.

where exactly is the solenoid valve located? also on jerry rome they list the backpressure transducer and the EGR temp. sensor and the regular EGR valve but no EGR solenoid.
