Intake Question

I am looking on the Cattman Performance website and thinking about getting the JWT POP intake. Will I also need to buy the Billet Aluminum MAF Adapter to fit the POP intake properly? Will this intake add horsepower?

You should check the stickys first. The MAF adapter does come with the intake and it does add high end power but you lose some low end power.

I bought this 97 nissan maxima that got a injen cold air intake. It's built for mid-range power. What does that **** mean "mid-range power" i dont know much bout car technical questions, I just love driving my Maxima, its a fast *** far over all. I like dusting these papis in my area that ride around in there hondas.

Best performance increase is from an aftermarket Y pipe.

ok, rather than taking a loss in low end power (which I really do not want), should I go with a combo intake system or modify my airbox (run hose through wheelwell) and add a K&N filter?

stock airbox is better overall for performance...if all u want is sound u can modify it with the K&N as u mentioned. If ur looking for power but don't have a y-pipe, get one as JPMax suggested.

whoaaaa!! I believe Warpspeed is about $160 shipped, Budget is wayyyyy less than that as well. NaplesMaxima just installed OBX headers and y-pipe for less than $350. U can even grab a used one from someone here. if u havent checked out this website, chek it out. it will help u in ur modding tremendously http://maxmods.dyndns.org/

looking at things now, it says Warpspeed is now a bit more expensive, as are many other y-pipes, but nevertheless u can find something for around $200 bucks or even $100 bucks used
