5th Gen 6spd in a 4th Gen

Appears it isn't so easy - http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ghlight=6speed

From what I understand, it requires removing one of the existing transmission mounts and then fabricating and welding a new one for the 6spd. The first five gears are almost the same on the 5MT and the 6MT, the main difference is that the 6MT has an additional overdrive and some extra weight. It really all depends on what your priorities are...for racing, the 5MT is what you'd probably want; for an everyday highway cruiser, you might want the 6MT.

I stand corrected: http://forums.maxima.org/showpost.ph...3&postcount=28
If you're serious about doing this, you might as well bulletproof the gears before you put them in: cryo, shot peen (marginal benefit, these two), and deburr.
