Several times in the last month my 95 model will just die. Sometimes it's while stopped at a light and sometimes while driving slow in traffic. When you go to restart it, sometimes it starts right away but usually it takes at least a full minute or two to start. And earlier this week it failed to start at all. A day later it started fine again and I can't seem to get it not start when I need to trouble shoot it. I have replaced the filter and the next step besides replacing the pump is the pump relay (alot cheaper) I've check the posts and have seen many people have had problems starting after their car sits for a while but mine seems to be just the opposite. Any Ideas?

Like-color relays are interchangeable

This is an intermittent problem and those are notoriously difficult to diagnose. The fuel pump relay is certainly a good candidate. It is located behind the plastic kick panel to the left of the driver's feet.

Here's a money-saving idea for you. IIRC the fuel pump relay is Type 1M relay. All blue relays are interchangeable. Therefore, instead of paying for a new relay you could swap the suspect fuel pump relay with another blue one, such as the ASCD Hold relay. Then, if your engine problem vanishes but the Cruise Control acts "flaky" you will know the relay is to blame. Conversely, if the engine problem persists, at least you didn't buy an unneeded part.

Starter Fluid

Here's another idea for your consideration. Buy a can of starter fluid. This is a spray can of ether or equivalent. You can buy starter fluid in any auto parts store or K-mart or Wal*Mart for about US$2.

When the engine stalls and won't immediately restart, give a good ten-second blast of starter fluid into the engine air intake. The starter fluid serves as a temporary substitute fuel. If the engine then starts readily, revs up well and then "dies" you will have further evidence that your engine problem is a fuel problem rather than a spark problem.
