i reget not using all the money i spent on mods to buy a newer car when i had the chance. whenever i eventually get another car, the only things im doing is having my stereo installed, and tinting the windows. enough of this bs..

oh.. and my biggest regret, listening to people on here when i was younger that didnt know what they were talking about.. now i spend money un-doing the damages their advice caused.

HP Tokico's over Illumina's. BIG DIFFERENCE!!!! I got the HP's on the 4th gen but my 5th gen had the illumina series. Wow I screwed up! It's worth the extra $100.00 to get the Illumina any day. Needless to say I installed the HP suspension and took it out a week later to put in the illumina's. I have to say I kind of regret my paint job too.... a lot lately. That's about it.

I regret the shaved rear maxima lettering, I also could not get the maxima to fade out and you could still see the lettering , so I just put the lettering back on, what the Hell I like people to know I drive a Maxima!! Wish I had not done the clock mod either, changed it to blue, and now the clock messes up and won't stay the right time half the time, it is always off, very frustrating!!

I agree with the stillen y pipe being a wast. I should have got a warpspeed. looking back over the last 7 years, I'd say when looking for mods, look for ones that are of little cost, will give you noticeable performance, and doesn't require too much modifying. I guess that's subject to interpretation. Bottom line, it's a maxima. it's a great car, but it's still a maxima....

clear bumper lights, my amber corners will be back on soon enough.

I just think they break up the bumper too much for my taste, and after seeing some modded maximas with the stock amber bumper lights they look amazing, just my opinion, but I've always been a sucker for the OEM look.

regret the ziex 512s they follow the grooves in concrete so bad, and the wishy-washy sidewalls suck... beyond that I am happy. as for the spoiler, nissan made heavier trunk springs for spoiler equipped trunklids. you should see that baby fly with those springs and no spoiler!

I regretted doing urethane control arm bushings. They were a major PITA and they ended up creaking all the time.

STS. I kept missing 3rd gear WAY too often with it. Put back the stock shifter and I cut 2" from the top. Sure the throw is still longer than with the STS, but I havent missed a gear since... plus I like not having to lean forward to shift into 5th gear anymore... since STSs on the Maximas rake the shifter forward.

Honestly, all of them. Sure while I was modding the car it was fun and rewarding but now that I have a new car and am trying to sell the car, I'm finding myself asking why i did this. I lost so much money in trying to sell the mods and only got pennies out of them. As far as the one mod that was probably the biggest waste of time... the cone filter with maf adapter. Performance was terible and gas millage plumeted for some reason.

I reget putting in the Weapon R intake. I didn't see any difference and I feel that I've lost low end torque. Also, I regret putting in my stupid remote starter/alarm. I don't know if the wires were crossed or not, but not I can't start my car without turning the key (lock and unlock) in my driver side key hole. If I just unlock the car using the remote and try to start the car I can't. It's getting to be a pain in the A$&.

I regret not doing more research on wheels before I bought them. Wrong offset and really heavy. I could have spend the same money for some lighter wheels with the correct offset and saved some gas money in the process. Other than that, I would have went 1 10" sub instead of 2 12"s <-- It was fun in highschool, but now I have the bass turned down.

Best mods: coilovers and the eclipse radio with ipod adapter.
