no regrets? other then possibly not having a coilover suspension but that will be fixed soon...

mods are mods, you generally know what you are getting into before you put them on.

1.) S.Techs. Look great, waaaay too damn soft for the amount of drop.

2.) Painting my calipers red. The paint is flaking off (I guess I didnt clean the calipers well enough), not to mention all it does is show off the miserably under sized brakes on this car.

3.) drilling a hole in my headliner to wire up my auto dim mirror and radar detector. Ended up tearing the carpet a bit. Mirror and detector work great though...

I regret buying that so called " cold air intake". Ran threw a puddle that was 6" inches wide and 2" deep. And the car started smoking and shut off. Luckily it didn't hydro lock...

I said this very thing, until I got bitten by the bug and then quickly realized that there are a lot of GREAT mods out there that turn the Maxima into a really, really fun car. Heck, just Illuminas, strut towers, and a sway bar make the Max 10x more fun to drive in the twisties.

The only mod I regret doing was the woman in the passenger seat next to me. At least with my Maxima this is a easy fix, over and over.

For those getting scared away by the mods, I must say even though there are a few I've done that I feel I could have done better or differently, I am definitely a fan. I love my car so much more now than when it was completely stock. I feel like through my mods I have vastly improved the car for a small amount of money. People see my car, they see the interior, they feel it go and they feel it corner. Those people absolutely cannot believe how much car it is for the money. I feel the same way, I don't think I could get a nicer car for 4 grand. IMO mods are the way to go.

I regret the fact that two months after buying the car 3 years ago I modded it with about 2k worth of mods. I wish I had applied that to my loan and the car wouldve been paid off a year and a half to two years ago and then I couldve started modding. Instead of still having pmts right now. This years tax return will hopefully fullfill that though

Exhaust and 00VI. I don't regret my suspension, interior mods, or rims...but anything that I did to the engine only caused me problems down the road (like now...piece of **** P0171 code. I've spent like $600 on repairs and it's still not fixed).

I regret not taking my time with custom red/clears...i think my cracking of my lens is due to it being stressed and hot/cold weather.

Why the shortning of shift ****, LEDS in gauges ?

I dont even know where to start. What I regret the most is how much money I spent on all of it. Between coilovers, intake, and exhaust ALONE I had 1500 dumped into the car easily within the first year. I would never do that now. lesson learned.

Also, all the cheesy crap I tried to tint and paint to be "different"...complete waste of time and effort.

Most of my engine modifications seemed worthwhile though.

OH! My MOST REGRETTED MOD are those stupid *** cefiro headlights. I had no idea people hacked up their cars that much to make those things work. I have re-welded in everything I cut but still have to go tweak on the stuff to make it fit right.

i had the k&n filter before doing an intake. you won't notice a power gain but at least you'll never have to replace it. idk if my mpg was better with it because my odo doesn't work. if you're gonna keep a stock intake the $40 seems reasonable to pay.

my worst mod...not that far in yet to regret. i have a fstb, ebay intake - cut for gain, home depot grill, customising the stock 95 bumper, tokico hp (first thing i did), red backlight gauges and auto ac controls, hid kit.

Very Good Tread I think it's Sticky Worthy.

I'm going to have to second the Sylvania Silver Star Headlights. They look great and they are bright but I was lucky to get a year use out of them. And like an idiot I bought 2 sets of them. Sylvania bulbs are just useless in general I bought a set of H3 fogs and they burned out in a week.

Honestly guys we try hard to make our cars great but its always gona be 10 years old (at least) and just a maxima.

as for me an injen CAI 270 and the car feels actually worse ad sounds worse

a Y pipe 200 bucks 60 to put it on from warpseed the car feels THE same almsot the same exept i can spin my wheels for .00003 second longer if i floor it

fking retro fitted lights with HIDS 600 bucks ... and 3 hours of work not worth it at all as long as ur got lights and u can see its all good

and the worst of mod of all was thouse dumb *** yellow capsules from e bay for fog lights they both melted i had to take apart fog lights AGAIN and after all the glue was off i just could not peace them back together so ended up getting 2 new fog lights.

i still love my car, dont get me wrong, but there are things that were clearly not worth the time or money (mostly money, I have plenty of time). The problem is when you think one thing or the other is going to transform your car into some performance beast or something.
As far as it being 10 years old...the only thing that feels 10+ years old about my car is the exterior style.

modding a pebble beige auto. I should have sold it to get a crimson blaze or sterling mist 5 speed. Not to mention I wanted black leather interior and not gray cloth!!!!!

UUUGGGGG.... the Cefiros. By far the most foolish choice. And now its a huge pain to go back to stock mounting.

And,,, I'm starting to regret the CF hood. I'm trying to do the best I can with it.
