fan noise

One of my cooling fans is lose and makes a horrible rattling sound when on. I took a look and relized that its just the fan itself that is lose. Im wondering if anyone has had this problem and knows how hard it is to fix. Thanks

I stared having the same problem a few months back, until it got so loud and embarrasing I couldn't take it anymore. A few weeks later it died altogether, and I've been driving with only one cooling fan for a few months. I just ordered a whole new dual-fan housing w/ the motors and plugs off eBay. If I were you, I'd just buy the whole thing new - it's about $120 shipped..

i had a fan that had a broken bracket, and it cuased a horrible rattling. I used some Jbweld on it, and it fixed the problem. I still switched out my fan when i got my parts car though.

Alright sounds good. Do I need to remove the entire housing or can I fix the fan with it still attached? I can fit my hands down there easily but not sure how it would go with tools in hand.
