A/T Tcm Reset Help (Not how to read Tcm Codes)
Hi. There are posts in the forum that duplicate what is in the Haynes manual as far as a complicated set of moving the shift lever pushing the overdrive switch and putting the ignition switch in certain positions in ORDER to "READ" the TCM CODES. HOWEVER, there is no info on how to "CLEAR "THE CODES for the tcm.
The haynes manual is not explicit on this detail.
I need this info because I am adjusting my idling speed and the FS manual says to disconnect the throttle position sensor harness, do some adjustments,
then reconnect it. Disconnecting it will put codes in the TCM that need to be erased.

If you only unplug it once during a single start you wount store any error codes.
The ECU needs to see an error happen more then once before it sets a code.
The transmission uses the TPS to determine shift points, but I've never heard of a TPS code being stored in the TCM?
