Hey Guys,

Reviving quite the old thread here, but it had the most relevant information.

I need to replace my flex section on the Y-Pipe since it has rusted out. I know most people simply recommend a a whole new Y-Pipe, but its not worth it financially and the rest of Y-Pipe is in great shape. I have the ability to remove it myself, but Canadian winters have rusted the bolts that I don't want to spend a whole day trying the remove them.

Now my question, what size universal flex pipe should I get. I had a shop take a look at it and they said a 10" length should be fine. I looked as well and that sounded good. The only thing was that they were not 100% on the size of the openings. From this tread, it was mentioned that the Y-Pipe section to the cat is 1.73" but then others have said all the piping is 2.25"?

So, which of the following options should I choose so the new flex section can simply slide over the existing pipe and be welded once the old flex is cut out?

(Width of flex section x Length x outside diameter)

6" x 10" x 1.75"
6" x 10" x 2.00"
6" x 10" x 2.25"

Thanks
