New Rim/Tire combo!

This weekend I'm planning on purchasing These Wheels and These Tires.

Wheels will be 17x7.5, tires will be 235/45WR17. I know the wheels are supposed to be VERY high quality, and at 17.5 lbs a piece you cant go wrong, but I was wondering if anyone here has experience with either these tires or wheels. These will be for spring-fall, and the track, i'm keeping the sawblades w/ all seasons for the winters. Just trying to do some homework before i part with 1500 dollars. Any feedback greatly appreciated as always!

I like both choices... i wish i could afford some wheels lik ehat The fuzions are pretty good tires, actually... i have a friend with an E36 M3, and he just raves about em. he says he hasnt really had a better tire yet-especially not for the price.

I like the wheels. I havent had those tires but a friend of mine has them and he hates them, he said they arent so good in the wet. He has them on a formula firebird

Thats what I was looking for, a friend of mine that also drives an M3 recommended them, and so did someone on tirerack. I'm trying to do the right thing with the purchase, and not get some big flashy rims that weigh 35 lbs a piece and actually slow me down. These weigh 1 lb each more than the sawblades, and are an inch wider, look better, are bigger, and (should) allow a 300zx brake conversion, which im planning on doing this spring. Overall it looks to be the perfect purchase for me.

Given though that a firebird is a RWD V8, I'd assume that any performance radial wouldnt have the best grip in the rain. FWD will help that a bit, but without ABS its going to be almost as bad as my bald BFG's right now Not exactly the most safe tire for rain use
