Clearcoat coming off

I have a spot on my spoiler where the clearcoat seems to be coming off. Any suggestions on what to do so that it stops the peeling and still looks decent. thanks to all.

Mine has been doing the same for about 3 years. I just let it be, it adds character. I'd say the only true way would be to repaint it.

almost time to repaint it. my previous truck did that to me. i dint want to repaint it cuz i really dint care or had the money to do it. so i just kinda sorta experimented with the flaking clear coat.

i wet sanded my entire hood. (thats where all my clear coat started flaking off initially)
then i wet sanded a second time. dont be to rough on it. then after wet sanding it i added the turtle wax polish and wax thing and buffed it to a brilliant shine. u cud still see that the clear coat peeled of but the shine kinda sorta distracted everone from the altered status of my clear coat. i loved it.....solved my problem of havin to paint the hood over!

i wudnt recommend u do that......just paint it over.

Sand it down and have it re-painted.

if it's just starting to peel just sand it with 400 and re clearcoat it. If its been exposed for awhile then the paint might be faded and would have to be repainted. Pour water on it and if you cant tell where its peeling then you could just have it reclearcoated.
