I am thinking about attempting to mod my tails with LEDs. I was wondering what size everyone thinks would look best. I've seen some that are 3mm which is approx. 3/16" up to 10mm which is approx. 3/8". I think the 10mm might look good plus, rather than working with 100-200 3mm LEDs I would cut that number in half with the larger 10mm, I don't want to spend all of winter on this project. Let me know what you think.

5mm led, best size for the looks, I tried 10mm doesent look as good as the 5mm. Just my opinion though.

 

Do you need any resistors if you are going to put in the LED bulbs in the brake unit? About how many 5mm LED did you use for yours?
