Those With Strobes Step In...

For those of you that have strobe kits, what kind do you have? How high is the wattage of the kit and the tubes? Also, how many tubes do you have and where did you install them (headlights, bumper lights, corner lights, tail lights, etc)? How hard of a wiring job was it, and your experience with the install if you did it yourself?

Sorry for all the questions, but this is something i've been wanting to do for a long time..

well since im a volunteer firefighter i got strobes...but ne way i have a whelen 6 piece 90 watt kit. i have one in each headlight, one in each clearance light (i30 not maxima) and one in each outter tail light. i did the install myself all you really need is a 1 inch hole saw a hot glue gun and whatever you need to take out the lights to drill the holes. the wiring was a snap just alot of wires to run.

skyline bumpers are gay too, cause everyone has one. y cant anyone just give the guy a straight answer. i mounted the power supply in my trunk butted up against the rear seat. i actually have my strobes hooked up to a pulse timer so when i hit the arm buttom they flash for like 2 seconds and when the alarm goes off my strobes do as well, along with an air horn and the siren. its a great theft deterent to be honest with u, most people dont pay attention to regular car alarms but with u got 6 police grade strobes flashing and everything goin nuts it draws attention.

thanks Creative , I know HarrisH has a similar setup with his alarm and the strobes...and btw that is hott. How did you run the wires from the headlights to the power supply? And how did you wire up the power supply itself?

In order to run the wire from the engine bay through the cabin, did you a drill a hole, or is there a factory one thats grommeted and big enough to fit all the wires?

a pulse timer is a timed relay that u can adjust how long the strobes stay on. i ran the wires through a hole in the fire wall which i drilled.
