95-96 CF Trunks

So what's the word on 95-96 CF trunks? I know for sure the 97-99 are available but truthfully I never liked the way the 97-99 trunk and lights looked, I prefer 95-96 with OEM lights and spoiler. Mine has some rust and a dent and I'm getting a paint job next spring anyway so I figure what the hell. I ran a search but all that turned up are old posts that probably aren't relevant anymore. Anyone has one? If so, the usual: how much, any fitment issues and where can I get one? Thanks.

There is no company out there that makes the CF trunk for the 95/96, but bluA32 on the .org is currently trying to get the CF trunk lids made. You should PM him to get more information on the pricing, fitment, quality...etc. I believe he needs one more person to put a down payment for them to be made.

Everybody and their grandmother has a 97-99 trunk. I like the 97-99 front bumper better, but that's about it. Also I think the rear bumper of a 95-96 like mine doesn't line up perfectly with a 97-99 trunk and I'm certainly not going to change my rear bumper.

That said, I absolutely love the color of your car. I want to paint mine blue (it's black) but I am not 100% sure what blue to go with. I want something bright (like the new Toyota Echo Hatchbacks) and yours just confirms my suspicion that a bright blue looks REALLY good on a 4th gen max. Nice car man.

They don't make them for '95-'96, so be done with it. FLAVOR_24/7... I agree with you on the bumper. The '95-'96 are shorter... IMO they look a little better. BTW your max is sick.

when did you stick a spoiler on your cf trunk!!
is that just black? cause it doesn't look carbon fiber. I've been looking for a nice subtle carbon fiber spoiler to go with mine as well but can't seem to find one. Might go with a lip spoiler.

I just went through that whole thread and now I made up my mind. I'm getting those!! ha...

If I had the rear bumper cf pieces, I would have almost the same amount of carbon fiber as you. you have the white one and I have the black one

P.S. Did you black out the clearance lights? Any close up picture or like a frontal view of your car? I was thinking of doing that.

I just noticed I hijacked the **** out of this thread. hehe

I'm still waiting for my door pillars from Jose and eyebrows laying around in my house and never got them installed because I'm in Mexico most of the time now for business. (I work for a company that makes interior parts for GM... PS.. how far are you from Monterrey?) I don't really want to do any carbon fiber mods under my hood because I'm still deciding if I want supercharger or 3.5 swap. When I was home about 2 weeks ago, I installed carbon fiber interior pieces and I'm really liking it. I wish I can find some mirror covers.. I gonna ask Jose to wrap my skyline rear bumper in carbon fiber.

Did you put the carbon fiber eyelids on the stock headlights? What did you do with those little nubs that stick out?

Also, I wonder how it would look on my car if I smoked my fogs too.

JDM

I had them custom made a long time ago. There was another person selling them a while back, not sure how they turned out.
